Styling Board Workshop with Epoch Designs x Priscilla Lee
There are a couple of things you need to put together the perfect flay lay: interesting props, details to add play with, styling blocks to add depth, and a good surface to build it on. The team here at Sourced Co. created our own styling boards to work with because styling on just any old surface wouldn’t do; we needed just the right colors and textures. And, while there are great styling boards out there that you can purchase, we think creating your own is a great way to get out from behind the desk and make something unique! That’s why when we had the opportunity to be a part of a DIY styling board workshop with Epoch Designs and Priscilla Lee, it felt like a match made in styling tool heaven.
Melissa and Priscilla planned a fun afternoon of experimenting with spackle and paint on canvas (of course with drinks, laughs, and great people). They taught attendees how to create different textures and mix color to end up with a styling board that is much more than just a surface to put things on - they are pieces of art in their own right. While everyone’s custom boards were drying, they shared tips about how to style an interesting flat lay using wedding invitations, delicate props, and our styling blocks.
We are so thankful to have been a part of this great event with some amazing people from the San Diego creative community! Here are some of our favorite moments from the afternoon!
