Flat Lay Styling at LVL Academy

Getting your work featured on blogs and in print magazines is a powerful marketing tool for any wedding professional. It helps put your happy clients, design aesthetic, and business in front of a large (and usually on-the-hunt) audience. But, since the wedding industry is full of talented vendors, getting your submissions accepted can be a challenge if you don’t have the right (and strong) images.

The ladies at LVL Academy know this and that’s why they include a fantastic flat lay styling breakout session in their wedding planner workshop. Because, in addition to needing to design, execute, and capture a stunning wedding as a whole, there are certain shots that can make or break your submission. Especially, when it comes to the invite suite.

We had the pleasure of sponsoring the Academy this fall and brought all of our styling blocks for the attendees to play with! Photographer and prop-styling-master, Lorely Meza, lead the styling session - teaching everyone the basics of setting up a strong foundation for the all important shot as well as how to add interest using our blocks. The entire 3-day event was so much fun, but we have to admit, seeing how much everyone loved using the blocks was definitely the highlight!
