2018 in Review
2018 was an exciting year for all of the ladies here are Sourced Co! Because between launching a new business, new products, and everything else life does to keep you on your toes, it’s experiences like those that make us beyond excited for what is to come. So today, we wanted to share just some of our favorite milestones and moments from 2018 and all of the reasons they were special.
The Business Milestones
Launched Sourced Co. on May 31, 2018 / After 10 months of working to build a new business and brand, we were thrilled to introduce Sourced Co. to the world! The experience brought us closer together as friends and left us feeling like we were just getting started.
Our first subscriber signed up on June 4th / We couldn’t save the first digital dollar that we made but we sure do remember it! Just 4 days after launching, we had our first paying customer - and you can bet we did a happy dance!
Launched our first physical product on September 17th / When you’re a business owner, sometimes you just have to go with the flow. And, even though we had said we didn’t want to deal with a physical product, an idea that was too good to pass up was brought to the table. On top of that, Cassie and Tayler launched our styling blocks while Jen was away for a month (and Christy across the country). Call us crazy but we’re so glad we did!
Launched 2 additional sets of styling blocks on November 8th / We had such a fantastic response to our styling blocks that it got those wheels turning. And, in the blink of a business eye, we developed and launched two additional sets!
The Best Friends Forever Moments
Christy surprised us at a shoot (knocked up) / We’ve come up with some interesting ways to make collaborating with Christy work since she lives across the country. But, nothing replaces having her here. And, this spring, homegirl surprised us and showed up on a photoshoot day - and told us she was pregnant! (The goodness was all caught on video, check it out in our Instagram story highlights!)
Took a team road trip to Carmel / It’s important to get out of the office and go explore, so we packed our bags and took a road trip to Carmel by the Sea! We stayed at my family’s home (built in 1922 by my great great grandmother), worked around the dining room table, and explored a new area for a few days.
Celebrated Maren's 1st birthday / Maren is the unofficial 5th “lady from Sourced Co.” and she turned 1 in October! She is pretty much the cutest (according to her mom and aunties) and we wouldn’t trade baby-wrangling-office-or-photoshoot days for anything!
Welcomed Winter J Johnson to the world / Last but not least, Christy became a mom! We welcomed a healthy baby boy to the crew and his west-coast aunties cannot wait to snuggle him!
We have so much to be thankful for as we gear up for the new year and want you to know how much we appreciate your love and support! Life is always a ride and we know that your life is as busy as ours - so thank you for every moment you spend with us, every connection you help us make, and all of the “you got this girl” encouragement. Cheers to 2018 and bring it on 2019!
